Diesel Service Technician
Capital City Equipment Group is a family-owned company with 50 years of history and values its employees and their families.
Due to expansion we are looking to hire experienced diesel technicians for locations in Ames, Des Moines, and our newest location in Story City.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems in compact construction equipment and compact tractors
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections
- Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with diesel engines (preferred, but willing to train the right candidate)
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work in a shop environment
